Description

MaintainX is hiring a senior backend/platform engineer to design, develop, operate, and improve public REST APIs and enterprise integrations. The role covers API standards, batch operations, GraphQL and REST stability, SDKs, CI/CD, developer documentation, integration marketplaces, automated onboarding, security, monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization. Candidates need at least four years of backend or platform software engineering experience, proficiency in TypeScript, Go, or C#, relational-database expertise, distributed-systems knowledge, and experience shipping production APIs.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience developing backend systems, APIs, or platform products.
Experience with relational databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
Experience shipping robust APIs to production and considering developer experience and platform usability.
Experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, and contract testing, plus hands-on CI/CD pipeline experience.
Experience with integration ecosystems, including API platforms, SDKs, iPaaS/connectors, marketplaces, webhooks, events, and ETL/synchronization patterns.
Experience with ERP ecosystems, including SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics.
Experience developing self-service administration and debugging tools for external developers or customers.
Experience with Workato, Tray, or Zapier from a product or platform engineering perspective.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of enterprise identity and security models, including OAuth2/OIDC, API keys, token rotation, and least privilege.
