Description

Miovision is hiring a Senior Software Developer to lead the technical execution of its unified API gateway and platform engineering efforts. The role designs, builds, scales, governs, and documents a stateless API gateway serving web applications, AI workflows, public APIs, CLI/SDKs, and AI agents; it also involves cross-team architectural consensus, developer documentation, observability, security, and mentorship. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of backend or platform engineering experience, expertise in Kotlin, Java, Go, or similar languages, cloud-native and Kubernetes experience, API gateway and API-governance knowledge, and familiarity with AI-assisted development and AI agent ecosystems.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 7+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend systems, platform engineering, or distributed architectures
Hands-on experience with cloud-native ecosystems, AWS infrastructure, and containerization or orchestration
Experience designing, building, or operating production API gateways or API platform layers in complex multi-service environments
Expertise in Domain-Driven Design, contract-first development, API specification frameworks, and OpenAPI specifications
Experience transforming fragmented internal services and APIs into a cohesive developer platform or service catalog
Experience integrating AI coding tools into daily development workflows
Experience operating within a modern DevOps or platform engineering culture
Experience with architectural judgment, systems thinking, communication, technical documentation, and cross-team collaboration
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol or APIs optimized for AI agent consumption and LLM workflows
Preferred Qualifications: Backend development experience in Kotlin, Java, Go, Python, or C
Experience implementing edge authentication and identity management with OIDC and Auth0
Experience using Datadog for observability and monitoring
Familiarity with Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, and Redis
