Description
MaintainX is hiring a Platform Engineer to design, develop, and operate its end-to-end search and data retrieval platform. The role covers indexing pipelines, ranking systems, query execution, relevance optimization, distributed-system reliability, integrations, semantic and vector retrieval, and AI-driven improvements. The engineer will lead architectural decisions, collaborate with product and subject-matter teams, deploy backend services and data pipelines, and participate in on-call rotations. The position requires hands-on production search-system experience with technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Lucene, or Solr, along with knowledge of embeddings, information retrieval, observability, and multi-tenant security.
