AWS AppSync is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to own the design, architecture, delivery, and operation of large-scale, highly available components of its GraphQL and Pub/Sub API service. The role involves driving technical direction, solving cross-team problems, improving operational excellence, security, and code quality, mentoring engineers, and partnering with engineering leaders on the roadmap. Candidates need at least five years of professional software development experience, five years of programming experience, five years of leading design or architecture, and experience mentoring or leading engineering teams. The position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a base salary of CAD 150,700 to 251,700 annually.
