The Senior Software Development Engineer will build highly available, scalable distributed engineering systems for Amazon’s Spektr Data Lake, focusing on Java, AWS services, and big-data technologies such as Spark, EMR, and Athena. The role involves technical strategy, design and launch of medium-to-large-scale ETL and data-compliance services, stakeholder collaboration, complex software problem solving, mentoring, and operational responsibilities. Candidates need at least five years of professional software development experience, five years of programming experience, five years of leading design or architecture, and experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
