Description
Amazon’s Intelligent Cloud Hosting (ICON) team is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain large-scale distributed systems that apply generative AI and agentic architectures to automate infrastructure operations. The role involves influencing technical and business strategy, collaborating with stakeholders and customers, mentoring junior engineers, and improving the security, availability, efficiency, compliance, and maintainability of Amazon’s e-commerce and backend services. Candidates need at least five years of professional software development experience, programming experience, distributed-systems design or architecture experience, and experience leading design, architecture, or engineering work; a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, with a base salary of $168,100 to $227,400 annually.
