The role involves designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining distributed software solutions; using Java and Java-based frameworks; applying software engineering best practices; working in an agile environment; and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need at least five years of professional software development experience, five years of programming experience, five years of leading design or architecture, and experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team. The position is based in Herndon, Virginia, with a base salary of $168,100 to $227,400 annually.
