Tools for Humanity is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to join its first device software team in a new San Francisco office. The role focuses on full-stack development of proof-of-human hardware, including embedded Linux and Android system components, AOSP and custom HALs, low-level drivers and middleware, IPC interfaces, system integration, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware, firmware, and application teams. The engineer will also support overseas JDM/ODM development and mentor junior engineers. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering field, at least seven years of software development experience, Android and AOSP expertise, and strong C/C++/Rust and Linux kernel programming skills.
