Description
AWS is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE III) for its Data Center Builder Tools team to lead the architecture and evolution of a real-time middleware and controls platform that connects industrial hardware, control applications, device drivers, and AWS cloud services. The role owns the platform’s data-exchange layer, type systems, serialization, communication patterns, industrial protocol integrations, edge-to-cloud contracts, real-time correctness, and cross-team standards, while also mentoring engineers and solving high-ambiguity technical challenges. The ideal candidate has experience with complex software architecture, real-time or embedded systems, industrial automation, distributed systems, and middleware, with Rust, C/C++, or Python experience preferred.
