The Satellite Operations Software Engineer will design and develop cloud-native software systems in Java and Python to autonomously manage a satellite constellation, including scheduling, fleet coordination, fault recovery, and highly available AWS services. The role involves working with operators and mission teams, mentoring and leading new team members, defining technical roadmaps, and making architecture decisions for a growing satellite operations system. Candidates need at least five years of professional software development experience, including programming, system design or architecture, and engineering leadership, along with U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee/asylum status. The position is based in Redmond, Washington, with a base salary of 168,100 to 227,400 USD annually.
