AWS is hiring a Senior Software Development Manager to lead its ~40-person Bill Run Orchestration organization within BillGen. The role owns end-to-end reliability of bill run execution across AWS partitions, drives the technical strategy for migrating from batch-based processing to autonomous real-time billing operations, and builds and grows an engineering organization. Responsibilities include leading engineers and engineering managers, defining orchestration-platform strategy using distributed systems and AWS services, auditing operational processes, and partnering with other AWS organizations. The position requires 10+ years of engineering experience, 5+ years of engineering team management experience, and experience managing multiple concurrent programs in an Agile environment. The role is based in Arlington, Virginia, with a base salary of $220,100 to $297,700 annually.
