Description
Sumex AG is seeking a senior Software Engineer to develop, optimize, test, maintain, and integrate complex Java applications. The role covers the full software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, code reviews, technical documentation, customer and integration-team support, and collaboration with Product Management and cross-disciplinary teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least five years of experience with large Java applications, strong Java and Groovy skills, SQL and relational database experience, familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, and proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, independent ownership, and C1-level German and English.
