Description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve highly scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems for the Microsoft Advertising Platform. The role leads technical architecture, drives end-to-end delivery of critical projects, partners with Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Platform teams, uses telemetry and experimentation to improve product health, and mentors engineers. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least four years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, additional years of experience, backend product experience, distributed systems and cloud knowledge, and experience with data-intensive or AI/ML-enabled products. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 119,800 to USD 234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
