Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Agentic AI) to design and ship core components of an agentic sales platform, including orchestration, tools and skills, grounding, evaluation, observability, and model routing. The role owns features from prototype through production, partners with AI and Copilot organizations, contributes to responsible AI and production-quality standards, and mentors peers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus at least four years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience; preferred qualifications include experience with agent-based systems, major agent stacks, evals, observability, and safety. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 119,800–234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
