Description
Toast is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its internal AI Agent & Experience platform team. The role builds and operates AI infrastructure, including the LLM proxy, AI key management, observability pipelines, autonomous agents, and the internal plugin marketplace, while developing MCP services and developer tooling. The engineer will write tested code, participate in design and code reviews, collaborate with product and platform teams, and contribute to agentic development practices. The position requires a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of scalable backend experience, LLM agent or AI developer-tooling experience, MCP or similar framework experience, object-oriented programming knowledge, and distributed-systems expertise. It is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence two days per week.
