Description

The Senior Software Engineer, Analytics will lead enterprise reporting development by designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, SSRS reports, and semantic models. The role involves translating reporting requirements into technical solutions, optimizing SQL and database performance, leading and mentoring developers, collaborating with QA, DevOps, and product teams, and managing work through Jira, Git, and TFS. Required expertise includes Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI, DAX, Power Query, data modeling, security and governance, and AI-powered analytics; PL-300 and Microsoft Fabric experience are advantageous.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and paginated reports for enterprise reporting and analytics solutions
Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server and SSRS, including complex SQL query development, stored procedures, performance tuning, report design, parameterized reporting, subscriptions, and report deployment
Experience implementing and managing security and governance controls, including Row-Level Security, Object-Level Security, workspace administration, sensitivity labels, and data endorsement practices
Experience leveraging AI-powered analytics capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot, Q&A visuals, Smart Narratives, and other AI-assisted reporting features
Preferred Qualifications: PL-300 certification and hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse architecture and modern analytics capabilities
