Toast is hiring an experienced software engineer to architect, design, and deliver ultra-reliable, high-performance cloud services and infrastructure. The role focuses on scaling mission-critical distributed systems, resolving performance bottlenecks, establishing engineering and architectural standards, and collaborating with Product on technical direction. The team uses AWS, Kotlin, Go, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Terraform, and Apache Pulsar, and the position follows a hybrid work model.
