Astronomer is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Platform Engineering team to design, build, test, and deploy production infrastructure for Astro, Observe, and its IDE products. The role focuses on high-scale PaaS environments, cloud-native systems, reliability, observability, incident management, documentation, and cross-company technology decisions. Candidates should have strong experience with non-abstract systems, Python, Golang, Kubernetes, observability, and software development best practices; experience with SaaS/PaaS products, multiple cloud providers, on-call rotation, and Apache Airflow is advantageous. Compensation is estimated at $168,000–$230,000 plus equity and benefits.
