Picnic is hiring a Backend Engineer to architect and scale real-time logistics and operations platforms. The role involves writing well-tested Java and Go code, leading backend initiatives in areas such as vehicle routing, automation, scalability, and reliability, owning data stores and API layers, establishing engineering best practices, translating technical vision into roadmaps, and mentoring engineers. The position is based in the New York office and requires onsite work five days per week.
