Braven is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Systems team to lead full-stack design and delivery of the learning platform, data systems, and AI and automation that support its programs. The role owns complex initiatives, makes architecture and technical design decisions, reviews code and architecture proposals, mentors engineers, and improves testing, observability, and engineering practices. It requires a technical degree or equivalent practical experience and at least five years of software engineering experience, with hybrid work in Chicago or Newark three days per week. The position offers a base salary of $111,300–$139,000 in Chicago or $122,500–$153,100 in Newark, plus benefits including health insurance coverage, retirement matching, paid leave, and a sabbatical.
