Description

Civica is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its VIEW Product Team within Community Justice Services. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise software using C#, Microsoft .NET, SQL, RESTful APIs, Docker, cloud platforms, and microservices; contributing to architecture, modernisation, code quality, troubleshooting, and production performance; and providing technical leadership and mentoring. The position requires strong commercial enterprise-application experience, API and database experience, software-engineering best practices, and technical leadership experience, with a bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Commercial experience developing enterprise applications using C# and Microsoft .NET.
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Practical experience with Docker and containerised applications.
Experience working with relational databases and application integration.
Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring within a development team.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience modernising large-scale .NET applications and legacy platforms.
Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
Experience with event-driven and asynchronous integration patterns.
Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, and performance optimisation.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated environment provisioning.
Experience working on government, justice, courts, case management, or highly regulated systems.
Relevant Microsoft, Cloud, Container, or Software Engineering certifications.
