Description

CoStar Group is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Sales Development team to build customer-facing web applications and AI-powered CRM solutions. The role involves React, TypeScript, C#, .NET, SQL Server, AWS, AI agents and workflows, observability, testing, and software design leadership. It is based in Richmond, Virginia, with Monday–Thursday office work and Friday remote work, and offers a base salary of $130,000–$170,000 annually. A bachelor’s degree and at least six years of software development experience are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college or university
Required Previous Experiences: At least 6 years of software development experience with object-oriented languages
Experience architecting, designing, and building large-scale distributed, service-oriented systems and web applications in an agile environment
Experience building RESTful APIs using C#
Hands-on experience with AI adoption and development
Familiarity with large language models, prompt engineering, or agent-based architectures
Familiarity with CI/CD deployment processes
Preferred Qualifications: Strong communication skills with business and technical partners
SQL and database development knowledge
Familiarity with AWS PaaS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, and SQS
Data modeling experience across conceptual, logical, and physical designs
Experience implementing AI agents, workflow automation platforms, or intelligent search solutions
