Elastic is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Elasticsearch Distributed Systems team to build and operate core components of a next-generation serverless Elasticsearch offering. The role focuses on distributed cluster coordination, concurrent and consistent indexing, node communication, data allocation, performance, stability, and operational investigations. Candidates need deep distributed-systems and consensus expertise, strong core Java and algorithmic skills, and the ability to own complex, multi-machine projects. The role offers base salary of 272,000–430,200 RON and health coverage for the employee and family in many locations.
