Elastic is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Elasticsearch Distributed Systems team to build and operate core components of a next-generation serverless Elasticsearch offering. The role focuses on distributed systems, consensus algorithms, concurrent and consistent indexing, cluster coordination, performance and stability, and operational investigations. Candidates should have strong distributed systems and Java expertise, deep algorithmic knowledge, and the ability to own complex projects end to end. The role offers a base salary of €85,600–€135,500 and health coverage for the employee and family in many locations.
