Description

Freddie Mac is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead technical and architectural decisions for data-driven components and applications supporting Modern Delivery initiatives. The role combines enterprise software development, microservices architecture, Java/JEE and modern UI technologies, containerization and orchestration, DevOps and CI/CD, cloud platforms, security remediation, and mentorship of junior engineers. Candidates need 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience, extensive Java and distributed-systems development, microservices and container orchestration expertise, DevOps and CI/CD experience, and cloud platform experience. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Required Previous Experiences: 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience designing and delivering enterprise solutions
5+ years of hands-on development with a modern Java technology stack in agile, distributed teams
5+ years of expertise developing front-end and orchestration-layer technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
3+ years of specialized experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB
3+ years designing and implementing large-scale microservices architectures with container orchestration frameworks
3+ years of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience using Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Spinnaker, JUnit, Cypress, and Cucumber
2+ years of hands-on cloud platform experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree or specialized certifications in software architecture, cloud technologies, or DevOps practices
