Gallagher is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of embedded software features and products in an agile development squad. The role involves collaborating with hardware engineers, debugging and integrating board systems, analyzing performance, owning projects, conducting code reviews, resolving defects, mentoring developers, and improving development standards. Candidates need a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience, at least five years of commercial software development experience, strong Embedded C/C++ experience, Linux and/or Zephyr experience, knowledge of microprocessor architecture and digital electronics, and experience with debugging, testing, and software quality practices.
