Description

Guidewire is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer in its Product Development and Operations organization to build and operate cloud-native insurance product modeling and content transformation services. The role includes developing Java microservices and APIs on AWS, building JavaScript/TypeScript front ends, using Docker and Kubernetes, improving CI/CD and DevOps practices, and applying AI-assisted coding tools. The engineer will collaborate in an agile environment and help embed GenAI into scalable SaaS products for property and casualty insurance.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably with SaaS or cloud-based products
Experience building and maintaining production Java microservices on a major cloud platform, preferably AWS
Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
Preferred Qualifications: Property and casualty insurance, financial services, or other regulated-domain experience
AI/ML development experience, including prompt engineering, model tuning, or production AI service integration
Experience with configuration or modeling platforms, low-code/no-code tools, or developer productivity platforms
Business rules engines or decision modeling experience, particularly DMN FEEL
