Handshake is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Forward Deployed Engineering team in Sofia, Bulgaria. The role focuses on designing, architecting, and delivering production-grade solutions for complex customer needs, building internal systems, making tradeoff decisions, improving reliability and scalability, and mentoring engineers. It requires 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong ReactJS and TypeScript skills, relational database and system design knowledge, cloud and production operations experience, and the ability to lead technical projects in ambiguous environments. The position is based in the Sofia office and is not eligible for full-time remote work.
