Hiya is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Protect team to build and scale AI-powered spam and scam detection infrastructure. The role owns the end-to-end development lifecycle, production reliability, privacy-aware data-access frameworks for machine learning, and cross-functional technical decisions. Candidates need at least four years of software engineering experience, strong distributed-systems expertise, and production troubleshooting ability; experience with data-processing pipelines, Kafka, functional programming, DevOps, and on-call rotation is preferred. The position is based in Budapest, Hungary, with a flexible working model requiring two office days per week.
