Description
Illumio is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and own scalable Zero Trust segmentation features for containerized applications and pods. The role focuses on Kubernetes, Istio, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, and GKE, with responsibilities including designing and implementing secure, stable systems, defending designs, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with customers. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, at least 8 years of experience building distributed and scalable software systems, proficiency in a higher-level language, and familiarity with networking, security controls, and Unix/Linux environments. The role is based in Sunnyvale, California, with five on-site days per week.
