Mastercard is hiring a Senior Software Engineer – Performance Engineering to design, develop, test, and operate scalable payment platforms and services. The role combines enterprise software engineering with performance engineering, including distributed systems, cloud-native applications, CI/CD, observability, performance testing, workload modeling, capacity planning, JVM and database tuning, and production troubleshooting. Candidates need a bachelor's degree, at least seven years of software engineering experience, and at least three years focused on performance engineering, scalability, or site reliability.
