Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineering IC4 to design, build, and operate distributed services and microservices on Azure for commercial catalog, search, purchase, fulfillment, metering, and billing experiences. The role owns features end-to-end, integrates AI capabilities, improves performance and scalability, ensures data and security compliance, collaborates across disciplines, mentors engineers, and participates in on-call and DevOps activities. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least four years of technical engineering experience; cloud-scale or AI-enhanced software engineering experience is preferred. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800-$234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
