Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and operate highly available, secure, and performant SQL-based services for Microsoft Dataverse at massive scale. The role focuses on Data Engine services, data access and authorization, deployment automation, monitoring, diagnostics, self-healing, production operations, root-cause analysis, and secure data patterns for agentic AI experiences. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus at least four years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; equivalent experience is accepted. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 119,800–234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
