Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and evolve the backend systems for Azure Monitor, a hyperscale observability platform. The role owns complex distributed services, telemetry infrastructure, APIs, reliability, security, monitoring, alerting, diagnostics, and AI-assisted engineering practices, while collaborating across teams and mentoring engineers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least four years of technical engineering experience; cloud-native, distributed systems, reliability, security, observability, and cross-team experience are preferred. The typical base pay range across Canada is CAD 114,400–203,900 per year, and applications are accepted until the position is filled.
