Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, architect, and ship software for the online version of Microsoft Word. The role focuses on improving performance, reliability, scalability, and modernization of Word Web, while collaborating with engineering principals, partners, and teams across the M365 ecosystem. Responsibilities include secure and maintainable coding, cross-team integration, debugging, on-call participation, customer feedback, architectural change, and knowledge sharing. The position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least four years of technical engineering experience with relevant programming languages, or equivalent experience.
