Microsoft’s Azure Core New Tech team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to automate the onboarding, verification, management, and delivery of new hardware to Microsoft datacenters for Azure, High-Performance Computing, Office, and Edge Computing products. The role involves requirements gathering, design, implementation, debugging, performance optimization, reliability monitoring, and collaboration with stakeholders and other Azure teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least four years of technical engineering experience with C++, C#, or Java; equivalent experience may qualify. The role requires Microsoft Cloud background screening and offers a U.S. base pay range of USD 119,800 to USD 234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
