Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale distributed intelligence platforms for Microsoft 365 and Copilot economics. The role connects operational telemetry, product usage, infrastructure consumption, service dependencies, and financial data into decision-support systems, while applying AI, agents, intelligent automation, and machine-assisted decision making to improve operational efficiency and engineering outcomes. The engineer will lead architecture and technical initiatives, partner with engineering, product, finance, and business teams, and improve platform reliability, observability, data quality, and operational efficiency.
