Description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and optimize a world-class distributed file system for Azure Storage. The role involves defining requirements, designing and implementing storage features, breaking down work items, estimating effort, monitoring system health, and improving availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance. The engineer will work on the next-generation storage platform using storage servers with Data Processing Units and will need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus at least four years of technical engineering experience with C, C++, or Java, or equivalent experience.
