Description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Fabric SQL Data Warehouse engineering team. The role focuses on building reliable distributed environments, engineering systems, and infrastructure; supporting rapid deployment and validation; troubleshooting issues; defining technical designs; collaborating with and mentoring engineers; contributing to product architecture and planning; and participating in on-call rotation. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least four years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, additional years of experience, enterprise distributed-systems experience, cloud-service experience, and strong cross-team communication. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 119,800 to USD 234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
