OCLC is hiring an AWS Senior Software Engineer for its Cloud Library team to design, develop, and support scalable cloud-based applications serving libraries and users worldwide. The role covers full-stack web application development with Node.js, TypeScript, Svelte, React Native, Rust, and PostgreSQL; AWS services including ECS and S3; Kubernetes; Unix/Linux server administration; and production support. Responsibilities also include technical leadership, mentoring, code reviews, architecture discussions, CI/CD, observability, incident response, and collaboration with product, engineering, and operations teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, at least five years of professional software development experience, and strong experience with scalable web applications, distributed systems, cloud platforms, RESTful APIs, microservices, relational databases, and modern programming languages. The role offers hybrid work flexibility.
