Description
Onto Innovation is hiring a software engineer to develop and maintain efficient, robust software for new and existing metrology systems. The role translates customer needs into software requirements, improves existing software, resolves reported issues, recommends improvements, and works from a systems perspective on metrology tool platforms. The position requires a master's degree in a relevant technical discipline, at least two years of professional software development experience, strong programming and software engineering skills, and experience with scientific, engineering, or data-intensive applications. Preferred qualifications include a PhD or advanced degree, C++ experience, artificial intelligence and machine learning experience, and experience with numerical analysis, scientific computing, and mathematical modeling.
