Description

Peregrine is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Platform team. This role involves scaling Peregrine's cloud footprint by building and implementing initiatives that enhance performance, reliability, reduce infrastructure costs, and bolster security. The engineer will handle moderately complex infrastructure issues from design to production, manage multiple priorities, identify risks early, and contribute to mentoring others.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of experience building and operating cloud infrastructure at scale, with direct ownership of platform or networking systems
Preferred Qualifications: Takes moderately complex, well-defined problems independently, and thinks about how the work threads into the wider system.
Writes clean, well-organized code and knows when to extend an existing pattern rather than build something new.
Sees a project through from kickoff to done, including chasing down bugs that don't have an obvious root cause.
Manages several priorities at once without needing much day-to-day direction.
Surfaces risks and status changes early, and keeps the right people informed.
Weights cost, effort, and business impact when choosing how to implement something.
Starting to mentor other engineers and offer a perspective on technical decisions beyond their own area of ownership.
