Picogrid is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Legion Platform team to design, build, and deploy high-performance, scalable backend systems and integration tools connecting hardware and software across environments and command layers. The role requires 5+ years of production backend engineering experience, expertise in APIs, distributed systems, databases, object stores, geospatial tools, and authentication, along with customer-facing software delivery experience. The position is based in Kyiv, Ukraine, with a monthly salary range of $5,000-$9,500 USD and meaningful stock options.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience in fast-paced, production environments
Experience with APIs, distributed systems, data pipelines, or real-time processing
Experience with relational databases, object stores, and geospatial tools
Experience with HTTP APIs and authentication/authorization models
Experience working directly with customers to build and deliver software
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence or NATO members
Exposure to Ukrainian military command-and-control platforms
Experience supporting Golang-based applications in production
Experience building plugins or integrations for military command-and-control platforms
