Swile is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Payments Platform team to design, build, test, deploy, and monitor backend services supporting millions of users. The role focuses on Ruby-based payment and banking infrastructure, including accounts, wallets, balances, authorization, card lifecycle management, compliance integrations, and reporting. Responsibilities include translating product requirements into scalable solutions, driving architecture, improving reliability and security, leading projects, conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and collaborating across distributed teams in Brazil and France. Candidates need significant production backend experience, knowledge of distributed systems and databases, experience with messaging systems, strong analytical and communication skills, and fluent English.
