WP Engine is hiring a Backend Platform Engineer to architect and implement backend services for its global, high-scale cloud infrastructure. The role combines software engineering, distributed systems, cloud platform operations, API development, asynchronous workflows, CI/CD, observability, and production support. Candidates should have strong backend fundamentals, cloud and distributed-systems experience, and familiarity with modern engineering practices; Go or Python is preferred.
