Description
Affirm is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Fraud Engineering organization to build and extend real-time fraud decisioning services and APIs in Python or Kotlin. The role owns quarterly engineering goals, designs scalable backend systems, integrates regional risk vendors, supports machine learning and AI signals, collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders, and maintains system availability through metrics and on-call rotation. Candidates need at least five years of backend experience, distributed-systems expertise, SQL proficiency, and familiarity with CI/CD; experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Chronosphere, fraud prevention, risk systems, or international markets is preferred. The position is fully remote in Spain, with visa sponsorship available, and offers a base pay range of €86,000 to €122,000 per year plus equity and benefits.
