Description
Archer is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain software systems connecting physical hardware with backend services. The role involves developing software for Raspberry Pi and similar embedded environments, building scalable Python services on AWS, ensuring reliable data flow and system integration, monitoring performance, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing across software development, infrastructure, and hardware testing. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, strong Python proficiency, AWS application experience, and complex-system debugging skills; edge computing, Terraform, SQL or NoSQL, Docker, and Rust experience are bonuses. Base pay is $145,000 to $180,000, and visa sponsorship may be available.
