Grab is hiring a Payments Core Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and data pipelines for its FundsCore platform. The role involves building distributed fintech software, contributing to architecture and technical direction, troubleshooting complex issues, supporting observability and DevOps, participating in mandatory on-call rotations, and mentoring junior engineers. It requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least five years of software development experience, strong computer science fundamentals, English fluency, and experience with distributed systems, microservices, cloud platforms, databases, and DevOps. The position is onsite at Grab's Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh City.
