Description

Zip is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable card issuing, transaction processing, and settlement systems for its payments infrastructure. The role owns complex technical initiatives from architecture through production, integrates with Stripe Issuing and banking partners, and applies .NET, C#, Azure, distributed systems, DDD, CQRS, observability, testing, security, compliance, and AI-assisted development. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining complex production systems
Deep experience with .NET/C#, Azure Cloud Services, and distributed backend systems
Experience designing systems using Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, and event-driven architectures
Experience building payment infrastructure, card issuing, or transaction processing systems
Ability to independently own complex technical initiatives from architecture through production delivery
Experience navigating security, compliance, and operational considerations for mission-critical financial systems
Ability to influence technical decisions and partner across Engineering, Product, and other teams
Experience mentoring engineers and strengthening engineering practices
Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools across coding, testing, debugging, and problem-solving
