Affirm is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Consumer Authentication Platform team to own the technical design and delivery of secure, scalable authentication capabilities. The role leads architecture and implementation across sign-in, authentication factors, account recovery, step-up authentication, session management, authorization, identity federation, and related systems; collaborates with product, security, fraud, compliance, and other teams; supports operations and on-call reliability; and mentors engineers. Candidates need 4+ years of backend systems experience, distributed-systems expertise, strong communication skills, and familiarity with authentication protocols and security frameworks. The position is remote for candidates residing in specified Canadian provinces and offers a base pay range of CAD 153,000–213,000 per year, with medical, dental, and vision benefits.
